Mr. Brian Robbins

While I reflect on the remarkable 122 year history of St. Peter’s School, Panchgani, I reflect on a journey built on strong values, academic excellence and a deep and strong commitment to service.

Founded in 1904, as a small residential school to educate European and Anglo-Indian children, St. Peter’s has today grown into a vibrant, thriving and inclusive community educational centre.

While I reflect on the remarkable 121 year history of St. Peter’s School, Panchgani, I reflect on a journey built on strong values, academic excellence and a deep and strong commitment to service.

Founded in 1904, as a small residential school to educate European and Anglo-Indian children, St. Peter’s has today grown into a vibrant, thriving and inclusive community educational centre, that welcomes students, both boys and girls from diverse cultures from across the country and beyond. And even as we modernise, change and transform, the essence of St. Peter’s remains.

Since moving to St. Peter’s boarding school in the 6th grade, Kaelan Dcunha has undergone a significant transformation. Now in 8th grade, I would like to highlight the school’s holistic approach as a key driver for his growth in confidence, emotional maturity, and personal discipline.

Key Takeaways

Holistic Development: Beyond academics, the school identified and nurtured Kaelan’s hidden talents in singing, reading, and poetry.

Character Growth: The school’s values are reflected in Kaelan’s increased responsibility, respect for routine, and overall maturity, which has been noticed by both family and friends.

Structured Environment: Despite the emotional weight of choosing boarding school, the decision provided Kaelan with the structure and guidance necessary to focus on his future.

Ultimately, we as parents credit St. Peter’s not just for his education, but for playing a pivotal role in shaping his character and identity.

Post-COVID, Aashaan struggled with "digital dependence," becoming introverted and losing interest in physical activities while living in Mumbai.

We chose St. Peter’s School, Panchgani, a residential school known for its heritage (since 1902) and welcoming atmosphere.

Safety & Comfort: The class-wise dormitories and modern security measures (CCTV) provided essential peace of mind regarding his personal safety.

Personal Development: After an initial year of settling in, Aashaan evolved from a reserved child into an independent, creative, and confident individual.

Holistic Education: The school’s balance of rigorous academics, disciplined daily schedules, and a strong emphasis on sports and extracurriculars proved vital for his development.

Sending him to St. Peter’s has been one of the best parenting decisions, offering him growth opportunities that wouldn't have been possible in a city environment.
Student 1
St. Peter’s is the only place where I feel safe other than my home. It is the place where I have made countless memories. I have been here for three years, and during this time, I have formed strong bonds with my friends, teachers, and everyone working in this institution. The staff is very friendly, and the students are always helpful. We play various sports, and our teachers guide us with valuable tips to help us improve.

We follow a strict routine that maintains a perfect balance between games and studies. Had I not come to this school, I can’t imagine all the wonderful experiences I would have missed. It was here that I discovered my talents — playing the guitar, singing, and excelling in table tennis.

My time at St. Peter’s will always remain unforgettable throughout my life.
Student 2
St. Peter’s School is the only place that feels like home, even though it’s away from home. On my first day, I was warmly welcomed by my dorm warden, the principal, the staff, and the students. Everyone made me feel so special in this new environment that it’s hard to put into words.

In other schools, ragging and bullying can be major problems — but at St. Peter’s, you won’t find that. I’ve been here for hardly a month, yet I already feel completely settled. I’ve made new friends and have been studying sincerely. Boarding schools must be chosen wisely by parents, and I’m glad my parents made the right choice.

I study every day now — something I never used to do before. I’m getting fitter, more focused, and finding inner peace. St. Peter’s School has taught me discipline and how not to get distracted easily. The food here tastes just like home-cooked meals, and students are always engaged in studies and games.

As a student, I can truly say — this is the life I always wanted. Thank you, Mom and Dad, for choosing the best school for me.
